INTELI develops public policy tools to promote the national defence technological and industrial base participation in the development and production of the systems to be purchased by the State; defines strategies suited to seize opportunities in relevant markets; and stimulates the technological and industrial base to actively participate in the major systems purchased either by the State or by private entities.

INTELI aims to foster a depth understanding on the new concepts and perspectives for security and defence, and analyses the global challenges and opportunities that Portugal faces and its ability to meet them.
