| Promoted by Transparency International (TI) and carried out in 26 European countries, the National Intergrity System assessment is an anti-corruption initiative without precedents.
This study aims to assess the extent and causes of corruption in a country, measuring the effectiveness of national efforts to fight corruption, through an extensive document analysis, interviews with stakeholders (in academia, public administration, government, business, media and civil society). It is a consultative approach that intends to engage multiples stakeholders in all the sectors analyzed. In Portugal this study will be carried out by INTELI, TIAC - Portuguese National Contact Point of Transparency International, and ICS-UL. INTELI is responsible not only for the project technical coordination, but also for developing and conducting advocacy initiatives and the results dissemination.
